Hey, I'm Kilian. At work, I've built data platforms from the ground up, shipped AI-powered apps to production, and given talks to hundreds of people about building effectively with AI agents.
I came into data engineering from a slightly different angle, and learned most of it through real-life, complex challenges in trusting environments.
My experience has taken me through a variety of industries, including: advertising & marketing, FinTech and consulting – from startups to scaleups and into large multinational corporations.
I've been fortunate to have had the chance to work across a variety of roles within Data & AI, including as a data analyst, analytics engineer and data engineer (and, to some extent, an AI engineer).
Through my experience, I know very well that a good part of this role is understanding what a team needs before anything gets built. That's why I make sure to balance my time in a terminal with time spent actually talking to people.
